Derrick Rose cleared to play for Bulls against Hawks

Derrick Rose is starting for the Chicago Bulls when they host the Atlanta Hawks in Presidents Day matinee, according to multiple reports.

Rose has missed the Bulls’ last five games with back spasms. He’s missed 10 games overall this season with various ailments. Chicago is 7-3 with Rose out of the lineup.

C.J. Watson, who’s been starting in place of Rose, is not playing against Atlanta after being hit in the head during Saturday's loss to the Nets. Rip Hamilton remains out with groin and thigh issues.

Rose is averaging 22.0 points and 7.8 rebounds over 23 games this season.
