Kevin Garnett iffy for Celtics’ next two games with hip flexor

Celtics forward Kevin Garnett suffered a hip flexor injury during Sunday’s win over the Bulls and may miss the next two games, including Wednesday’s game against the Pistons, the Boston Herald reports. Garnett is the only Celtics player to have appeared in all 27 of the team’s games so far this season.

Boston may also be without two other forwards for the Pistons game—Mickael Pietrus, who has a right knee injury, and Brandon Bass, who’s dealing with swelling in his left knee.

“It started for Kevin during the game the other day," coach Doc Rivers said, per the Herald. "Kevin has a 50-50 chance (Wednesday night). He’s the best of the three, but all are doubtful.”

Rivers added, "It’s nothing bad with Kevin, but (trainer Eddie Lacerte) suggested two days off, and then he said today maybe even three days off."

After hosting the Pistons, the Celtics visit Chicago Thursday night.
