Andrew Bogut's agent said Friday that teams were calling the Milwaukee Bucks about their client, and the Washington Wizards, per the The Washington Post, are interested.
Another team in on Bogut, but not overly optimistic about landing him: the Golden State Warriors. As the Times notes, the Bucks are reportedly requiring that whoever acquires Boozer takes Stephen Jackson, who hasn't played since mid-February because of a dispute with coach Scott Skiles.
Jackson, remember, was traded by the Warriors to the Charlotte Bobcats in 2009, has a contract that will pay him $10 million next season, and is 33 and causing problems for the Bucks. That makes it unlikely that the Warriors land Bogut, though the Times outlined several hypothetical three-way deals sending Jackson elsewhere.
Bogut, 27, may not play the rest of the season because of a fractured ankle, but that apparently isn't much of an impediment for trade talk.
"It is a business and everyone is looking to get better; teams are looking to get better," Bogut told the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel on Friday. "I can't control that. I can't even comment on it, really.
"If it happens, it happens. If it doesn't, it doesn't."
The NBA trade deadline is March 15.
