The Magic are in discussions with the Warriors and Hornets regarding a three-way trade that would send Dwight Howard to Golden State. Multiple reports have said that the Warriors are willing to take the chance of trading for Howard even without assurance that he’d sign a long-term deal to remain with the team after the season.
Orlando would acquire Monta Ellis, Andris Biedrins and Dorell Wright from the Warriors, and in addition to Howard, the Magic would part with Ryan Anderson, J.J. Redick, Hedo Turkoglu and Quentin Richardson.
Hornets center Chris Kaman is also believed to be involved in the potential deal, but what the Hornets would give up or receive beyond that is not known.
SI.com’s Chris Mannix, meanwhile. Howard is intrigued with the idea of playing for the Miami Heat or Los Angeles Clippers, although the chances of either happening are remote, at best.
Getting tired of all the Howard trade talk? Well, come 3:00 p.m. ET Thursday it will all be over—for now, anyway.
