The Los Angeles Lakers and Houston Rockets continue to discuss a trade that would send Pau Gasol to Houston, but no deal is imminent.
The Rockets tried to acquire Gasol as part of a trade that would've sent Chris Paul to the Lakers, and have been "assertive" in their pursuit, according to Berger. Wojnarowski, meanwhile, says Houston has "aggressively" tried to land the big man.
Gasol, 31, is averaging 16.8 points, 10.5 rebounds and 3.3 assists, and was open about the mental toll trade rumors had taken on him and spoke to GM Mitch Kupchak earlier this week.
"I have an understanding of where things are, where they stand and where he stands and where I stand," Gasol told ESPNLosAngeles.com "(Kupchak) told me to just keep doing what you do, keep playing hard and playing on and from that point on, we'll see."
