Derrick Rose tweaked his ankle during Sunday’s 100-99 overtime loss to the Knicks in New York and is a game-time decision for Tuesday night’s rematch in Chicago, the Chicago Tribune reports.
Rose, who’s missed 22 games this season due to various injuries, was in a walking boot on Monday, sources told the Tribune.
For Tuesday's shootaround, Rose was walking in gym shoes and did not have on the walking boot. However. he did not participate in the shootaround before tonight's game with the Knicks, according to the Tribune.
Rose, an 81.5 percent free-throw shooter, missed two foul shots late in Sunday’s game that could have sealed a victory for the Bulls.
Chicago holds a precarious one-loss lead over the Miami Heat for the No. 1 seed in the Eastern Conference. The East’s top two teams face each other two more times this season—this Thursday, April 12, in Chicago, and next Thursday, April 19, in Miami.
The Bulls are 15-7 without Rose in the lineup this season, and 28-7 with him. They’ve lost three of their last four games.
