Syracuse's Fab Melo has signed with agent Arn Tellem, meaning he is bound for the NBA Draft, Draft Express’ Jonathan Givony reports via Twitter.
Melo averaged 7.8 points, 5.8 rebounds and 2.9 blocks as a sophomore this past season, and was named the Big East’s defensive player of the year.
In what was a major blow for the Orange, Melo was not allowed to play in the NCAA Tournament because of an eligibility issue. The 7-foot, 250-pound center was the anchor of Syracuse’s 2-3 zone defense.
Draft Express has Melo listed as the 38th best NBA prospect.
